What’s Popping Prime Day 2025?
If July’s record-breaking Prime Day taught us anything, it’s that loyalty is dead. I was flipping between Amazon, Target, and TikTok Shop like it was my side hustle and apparently, so was everyone else.
My predictions for October Prime Day:
- Phones First: More than half of July Prime Day sales were on mobile, If your site isn’t built for mobile, you’re toast.
- Patience Pays: Staggered promos > one-day blowouts. Shoppers lurk, compare, and circle back.
- Cart Candy: Under-$25 finds will keep baskets full and spirits high.
- Beyond Bezos: Competitor deals such as the ones run on Walmart, Target, and TikTok Shop will poach plenty of shoppers.
- Don’t Sleep on DTC: Amazon may host the party, but everyone else is stealing guests. Consumers will check your brand’s site for deals against retailers, so plan to capture them directly.
Brands may think OPD is the opening act for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but it’s quickly becoming its own headline event.
