Agency Remedies for Sunday Scaries

The not-so-secret policies we’re making official this fall

At LVPR, we’ve decided to make two policies official. Because if we’re going to run our own shop, why not run it in a way that makes us want to show up?

Camera-Off Mondays
Once upon a time, Sunday nights gave me the “agency scaries.” Half the dread came from knowing Monday would be stacked with camera-on, fully-dressed, mascara-smeared calls. At LVPR, we’ve declared Mondays sacred: cameras off, focus on getting work done, no expectation to look like we’re about to record a TED Talk. We’re easing out of the weekend.

Summer Fridays… Forever
We love summer Fridays so much, we decided to keep them year-round. Fridays are now strictly no-client-call days. New biz? Maybe (if you click this link, we will totally take your Friday call ;). But mostly Fridays are for deep work, catching up, closing the laptop before the sun sets, and maybe a nail appointment or two. Because honestly—who wants to be chained to Zoom at 4 p.m. on a Friday? Not us.

What results is a calmer, more productive team, and clients who get us at our best (not our most frazzled). Simple publicist math: Efficiency > appearances. Boundaries > burnout. Style > scaries.

We believe great PR shouldn’t come at the cost of sanity or Friday happy hour.
